I’m going to be as clear as I know that I can be.
If you’re a blogger, be it written or video form, articulate yourself correctly and be as precise as possible.
What I’m finding in the blog community is that there are quite a few people who blog and leave commenting to the “audience.” But when said audience member reads what’s said or listens to what’s spoken and posts their thoughts, the creator comes behind them and corrects them for what it is that they’ve said.
Let me be a bit more clear. If you want to talk about green apples in your blog but simply say apples, don’t be upset if someone comments about red, green or golden b/c you did NOT specify what it is that you meant. I remember back in the day when I was part of a blogging circle. We all read one another’s blogs, commented, the whole nine. But it wasn’t the comradery that had me driven…it was the fact that everyone in that blog circle articulated their point well enough to where there were no questions, only comments. There were no corrections to be made…you just got their point, posted your own thoughts and moved on. But there are a string of bloggers who aren’t doing that. I’ll see a blog that says “Apples, Apples, Apples…I like Apples.” I decide to comment “I like green apples…they’re a little bitter though.” And the creator of the blog regarding apples says “I didn’t say a damn thing about green apples.” I’m like “what the fuck? word?!?” SMH
Like I said, though…I’m a silent mover. If I don’t get the material that you’re giving me, I move on. Period. I don’t have time to sit and listen or read something, express my point of view and then be told “No, that’s not what I meant.”
Well articulate your point then so there’s no ROOM for wonderment. This is not to say that there could not be a point of agreeance or disagreement. It’s simply saying that if I can’t understand you b/c of your own explanation, then you shouldn’t be mad at me.
I digress. I think I’m gonna stay in my own little ‘world’ when it comes to blogging.
COMMENTS
I don’t think my posts are cryptic at all but the comments I get are still few and far between. A lot of the ones I do get are vague, short, and blah even if written about some matter that is up for debate.
Maybe people don’t “get” my “material” and I just don’t realize it? Things like poetry, music, and Barack Obama aren’t everyone’s thing? (Darn it…lol) Maybe people are over personal blogs? Maybe people are too lazy to comment but not too lazy to read? Hard to believe that. Eh. ::shrugs::
Love this WordPress theme!
Shy:It makes me sad when people get mad at me for not knowing what they mean…I comment on what I got out of their post, but they fail to see that what I wrote was MY opinion and get mad, and correct me or throw some off the wall point out there at me…I don’t get it. I feel ya tho.
Keima:Interesting enough, the blogs I visit and comment don’t give two cents WHAT you comment or post… as long as YOU COMMENT AND POST! There’s not much give and take…. you either like the content enough to POST or you don’t. SIMPLE.
