Alright…so I just got some really good news and decided to call and share it with my mother.
After I told her about it, she congratulated me and said that she’s very proud of me for sticking by my plans.
I said: “Yes…and you know this guarantees you and daddy the cruise I promised for yall’s 30th anniversary together, right?”
Mama: “Oooh I almost forgot about that!! Now I’m REALLY excited!”
Me: “YAY! I’m going too though, okay?”
Mama: “Why don’t you get your own set of friends to do stuff with? You ain’t going nowhere with us!!”
….but I’m paying. *sigh*
