Just a Quick Thought
The tv has been flooded with all things Michael Jackson in the wake of his unexpected death.
I turn it to the Greta bitch and she (with another commentator) is going on and on about how Michael Jackson was a ‘drug addict,’ constantly referring to him as the drug addict and never by his name.
I can accept truth b/c there’s always something in it…but what I can’t accept is the fact that Elvis pretty much died in a similar way (related to drugs) yet no one calls him a drug addict. White media is so focused on ensuring that he maintains his crown as ‘king’ that they seem to forget HIS reality. Assuming that the rumors regarding Michael are true, an abuser is an abuser. And if you want to put Michael in that light and leave the rest of the world with that same impression, somebody needs to shout at the top of their lungs that their beloved king did it too.
I am so unimpressed with white media b/c they seem so hell bent on making Blacks look foolish at every turn, as though our alleged problems are not theirs. Obviously what’s done within the Black community seems bigger than what it is b/c the negative is all that “they” want to talk about. It just blows my mind….

Birthday Girl
Welp, today was my birthday. This time next year, I will be celebrating the big 3-0, hopefully out of the country some damn where! I love it…
Classes start on Monday. Not looking forward to it b/c I do have a math class this 5 week session and I am not the shit in math. I’ll make it do what it do.
I have been dividing my time between work, class, and missjia.com. People really think that you’re bullshittin’ when you say that blogging is NOT easy. THIS is easy…but celebrity entertainment bloggin? Far from it…It’s fun though.
I’m sorry that I don’t really have much to say! But I hope that all of you are doing well. I promise that once I get myself on a better schedule, I will start blogging here the way I need to.

I promise I won’t let my personal blog go! I really won’t.
Let’s see…first and foremost, thanks to everyone who has shown me some love over at www.missjia.com. I REALLY appreciate it more than you know. So far, I have received a lot of positive feedback…from the layout of the site (which I did 100% by myself) to the commentary and up-to-the-minute pics, it’s all love! I will say that, although I am just beginning, blogging is a lot of hardwork. I don’t care what anyone says. You have to constantly be on your toes to make sure that you have the ‘new-ness’ and even if you don’t have it first, you have to make sure that you’re offering SOMETHING different than the next. Either or, the site has a long way to go. Because I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to a site being aesthetically pleasing, I will make changes when necessary but overall, I am pretty pleased with my ‘amateur’ work.
As far as why I’ve chosen to blog…simple. Been doing it since ’04. I’m always online in some capacity anyway so I figured why not?
I have a Youtube video that I plan on creating and posting sometime later today. I will also be making updates to www.projectnewera.com and STILL manage to work out a few minor kinks with Miss Jia (PS: If you know how to fix the “Operation Aborted” error that shows up when people attempt to access the site through internet explorer, let me know. I have someone working on it right now but it doesn’t hurt to get other feedback!).
Other than that, I’m good. Work, class, sites, sleep….I think I’m doing less of the latter (of the four) here lately but I’m working on it.

finally done
Well, the website that I’ve been working on is finally complete. There are a couple minor things that I need to touch up but for the most part, I am content with what I’ve done.
I said it on Twitter but I’m going to say it again…God bless those who work in graphic and web design for a living. I have a newfound respect for you and your craft. I am not in the LEAST bit a CSS savvy chick but for the sake of working quickly and getting shit done when “I” wanted it done, I had to learn….
One thing I can say is that when you’re working on someone else’s time, your own time takes a cut in value. They may not admit it but as I said in a previous blog, if it doesn’t benefit them, most people could care less.
It’s all good. Like I said, it’s not where I want it to be…quite frankly, it is rather plain. But it’s mine…I made it…and the color combos are slamming! LOVE pink, black and white together! They’re like BFF’s. ha!
Anyway, make sure you guys check out my entertainment blog, Miss Jia. This one will remain b/c this is my personal space in the world.

Okay, there are so many things wrong with this video but I’ll start with what’s most noticeable.
WHAT is this mufucka lookin’ at in the beginning of the video? Was he counting the roaches on his ceiling or was he saying a silent prayer to Beyonce of Nazareth that he make her proud?
And my last/final thought on this matter…if you’re going to post yourself doing a karaoke type performance, it’s best that you at LEAST know the words. You can’t fake lyrics! If you knew this song well enough to know that you wanted us to somehow be enlightened by your performance, the least you coulda did was learned the damn words or have the lyrics on your computer screen. But you were soo busy tryna ‘do it’ and go hard that I guess you forgot.
PS: Was the play play shirt rip at 51 seconds REALLY necessary? iCant LMAO
